During the BMD 2-year fellowship program, you will receive training and mentorship, you will be empowered to do and learn and you will work in a diverse, multicultural, global and inclusive environment. Key learning areas include:
Biomarker solutions are critical in clinical development to define the stage/subtype of the disease; predict the effect of medication; select a group of patients who would benefit most from a given therapy; and identify opportunities for development of companion diagnostics. Our scientists identify and use a wide range of biomarkers to investigate a disease, profile a compound’s mechanism of action, potency and likely side effects, select patients who may respond to therapy based on their genetic profile; and develop parallel/expanded indications for the compound.

Duration of program: 24 months
Program start: September 2025

About the Role

1. Develop and provide operational review of study protocols, site operations manuals, biomarker sample logistics including study setup, sample tracking/reconciliation, and data upload.
2. Perform logistical and operational activities for cellular and other biomarkers, coordinating with sites, managing and tracking material supply and sample at sites, central lab, and ESPs.
3. Monitor and provide oversight of BM modalities and laboratory assays (e.g. flow cytometry, Immunoassays) and coordination activities as assigned
4. Work with internal functions, clinical teams, ESPs, clinical trial leaders to trouble shoot and resolve issues related to biomarker monitoring
5. Travel and provide onsite training to clinical sites and external service providers
6. Contribute to clinical trial teams, working with BMLs and Clinical Trial Leaders to develop biomarker plans for implementation in clinical studies.
7. Leading and contributing to process improvement projects, technology evalsuations and other initiatives across BR sites.

Role requirements

  • University degree (BA; BSc, MA, MSc, PharmD or PhD)
  • Interest in clinical research and biomarker development
  • Business-level English; oral & written.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently, managing multiple priorities with support.
  • Good Office IT skills
  • Industry experience is a plus
